For six weeks during August and September 2011, thousands of British Columbians from 179 communities shared walking tips, maps and photos, celebrated their communities, and won great prizes. Congratulations to all the communities and individuals who participated: what an inspiring collection of walking stories, photos, and maps. Keep walking!

Weekly Prizes
Each week over 30 prizes were won in random draws, by participants who entered at least one story, video, photograph or walking map onto the contest website. Over 200 British Columbians won.

Grand Prizes
Six lucky individuals won a weekend get-away for four to a fun BC vacation destination. Draws were held September 21, 2011 and winners have been notified.
The five communities with the most postings – one from each population size category - won $10,000 each to upgrade local walking trails. One of the five winning communities - Tumbler Ridge - was selected by a random draw to win an additional $50,000!

It Could Be You
Over 200 prizes were awarded, including bicycles, one-year family memberships to local recreation centres, and trips to exciting vacation destinations across BC! 18 community prizes of sets of soccer balls and pedometers were won by weekly draw as well.
